Program Overview

Tailored to meet the needs of biotech and Silicon Valley executives, the Leavey School of Business added the Executive MBA degree program to its highly regarded graduate business program in 1999.  This substantive, pragmatic program offers an accelerated path to the MBA for experienced managers.

The first school in Silicon Valley to offer an AACSB-accredited executive program, this rigorous MBA is designed to help executives refine current skills and acquire new techniques and tools enabling them to implement innovative and effective strategies in today's fast paced business environment.

Meeting Times and Length of Program

The classes will meet Friday afternoons (12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.) and Saturdays (8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) approximately every other week.  The Wednesday of that same week is set aside as a virtual study group.  Faculty will be on call and students may meet physically or electronically to work on assigned projects.  There are also two residential weekends that will open and close the program.  Completion of the program will take 17 months.
